Gareloch Hill Route
This walk is an alternative Hill route for the section of the Three Lochs Way between Helensburgh & Garelochhead. It begins at Helensburgh and uses forest tracks before crossing the hill above Shandon joining Yankee Road above Faslane. Please note this is not a recognised or an official Three Lochs Way path.
Walk (or Cycle) Helensburgh to Shandon
A flat, scenic coastal route from Helensburgh Leisure Centre to Faslane, following the Gare Loch shoreline through Rhu and Shandon. The walk stays on pavements and paths throughout, with near continuous views across the water, while cyclists can use quiet village roads through Rhu before rejoining a shared walking/bike path. Approximately 7.56km. 1 hour 40 minutes walking or 30 minutes cycling.
